adam-s-daniel/adam-non-coding-local
Adam's non-coding skills that need local files or a signed-in browser, for the Claude Desktop app's local Cowork: PDF OCR, audit, renaming and comparison, and Fastmail email and sending-identity workflows.
Add email addresses to a Fastmail account as "From" sending identities by triggering the add-from-address workflow in Adam-S-Daniel/fastmail-actions, with a dry-run preview. Trigger on "add a from address", "add a sending identity", "let me send as X". To discover which aliases are worth adding, use add-received-from-addresses.
Find the Fastmail alias addresses you actually correspond through (distinct X-Delivered-To, minus existing identities) and add them as "From" identities via the add-received-from-addresses workflow in Adam-S-Daniel/fastmail-actions, with a dry-run preview. Trigger on "add From addresses for aliases I use". For one known address, use add-from-address.
Compare PDF pairs (name.pdf + name<suffix>.pdf) under a folder to tell whether they print identically and whether their text differs, e.g. before deleting "-signed" or "-needsocr" duplicates. Triggers: "compare pdf pairs", "find duplicate pdfs", "are these pdfs identical", "dedupe scanned pdfs".
Automate Fastmail via a local browser session: search mail, read threads and attachments, compose, send and reply. Only on Adam's computer with browser access (Claude desktop or Cowork with Claude in Chrome), never headless. Trigger on "Fastmail", "check my email", "search my inbox". Not for From addresses; use add-from-address.
OCR scanned PDFs with OCRmyPDF, preserve the originals, and review page appearance and searchable text before replacing any files.
Audit PDFs to see whether OCR is needed to make them text-searchable. Use when asked about PDF searchability, OCR status, embedded text or which PDFs are scans, or to inventory a folder for text extraction. Triggers: "which PDFs need OCR", "are my PDFs searchable", "audit my PDFs", "find scanned PDFs".
Rename already-searchable PDFs in a specified folder to descriptive, date-prefixed names, proposing each name from the PDF's own content and prompting for per-file confirmation or edit before applying. Use after running ocr-pdfs to clean up scanner-output filenames like "Scan from 2024-03-15.pdf", "QuickScan_001.pdf", or "Document(47).pdf" — or for any folder of PDFs that already have text layers but unhelpful filenames. Triggers: "rename my pdfs", "clean up pdf filenames", "rename searchable pdfs", "give my pdfs descriptive names", "rename scanned pdfs", "tidy pdf names".
