v0.4.3

Capture product screenshots, walkthroughs, and demo videos.

audio-cues

Use when a Spectra video needs sound — "add music to this demo", "add sound effects", "which sound cue goes here", "sync sound to the beats", "the music is too loud / the cue is inaudible", "duck the music", "what audio can I legally use", or whenever a polish-script render is being assembled with music, sfx, or per-beat sound. Maps each demo-script beat to a specific cue file from assets/audio/, sets the bed/cue prep levels the pipeline does NOT apply for you, and enforces the no-copyrighted-audio rule. Not for general visual pacing, color, or typography design, use video-design instead.

content-capture

Captures raw screenshots or screen recordings from a running application. Use when the user asks to grab a screenshot, record raw footage, or pull quick visual assets from a live app. Not for editing an existing recording into a polished video, use demo; not for a narrated step-by-step walkthrough of a flow, use host-walkthrough.

demo

Edits an existing screen recording into a polished, shareable video. Use when the user asks to trim and caption a recording, highlight key moments, add spotlight focus, or turn a screen capture into a shareable demo. Not for capturing the raw recording itself, use content-capture or host-walkthrough; not for planning a marketing strategy for the video, use product-marketing.

host-walkthrough

Drives a running web or macOS app step-by-step to demonstrate a flow, producing a narrated walkthrough capture. Use when the user asks to walk through a UI live, show how a feature works, or navigate an app with Spectra while capturing it. Not for a single screenshot or one-shot recording, use content-capture; not for editing an already-captured recording into a shareable video, use demo.

product-marketing

Plans product marketing video strategy for any software product, turning product × audience × goal into a concrete plan (video type, length, channel, story-spine script, polish style) before production. Use when the user asks to plan a marketing video, app store preview, product hunt launch, launch video, changelog/release video, readme demo GIF, or "what video should I make for <app>". Not for directly producing an already-scoped video, use demo.

story-builder

Build a video storyline combining Spectra app captures, authored motion scenes, and imported renders. Use for educational explainers, generated videos from scratch, or hybrid product stories. Works through the same CLI/MCP in Claude, Codex and other agents.

video-design

Tunes a video's visual and pacing craft — color, typography, cut rate, kinetic text, safe zones — into concrete Spectra polish parameters. Use when a video looks/feels off, the user asks how it should be paced, what color/font size to use, why it isn't engaging, or how to make it feel premium or authentic. Not for choosing or leveling specific music/sound-effect cues, use audio-cues instead.
