Castmagic

Castmagic turns podcasts, meetings and videos into transcripts and ready-to-use content: show notes, summaries, key quotes and social posts. This plugin connects your assistant to your Castmagic library so you can ask about anything you've recorded. It searches your transcripts and generated content and quotes them back with the recording and timestamp they came from.

What's included

The Castmagic connector: a remote MCP server at https://app.castmagic.io/mcp. Every tool is read-only.
Skills that show the assistant how to use it well:
- find-in-library: find what was said about a topic, with quotes and timestamps
- episode-to-social-posts: draft LinkedIn, X and Instagram posts from a recording
- pull-quotes: pull short, quotable lines with speaker and timestamp
- recordings-roundup: summarize several recent recordings into one digest

`list_spaces`	Lists your spaces (workspaces or shows)
`list_recordings`	Lists recordings, newest first
`get_transcript`	Returns a recording's speaker-labelled transcript
`get_content`	Returns the content Castmagic generated for a recording
`profile`	Returns the name and email of the connected Castmagic account

Requirements

A Castmagic account with an active plan (castmagic.io)
An assistant plan that supports connectors: Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise, or ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise

Setup

Install the plugin, then connect Castmagic when prompted: sign in to Castmagic and click Allow. Authentication is OAuth; there's no key to paste. Full instructions: app.castmagic.io/ai-connectors.

What this plugin sends and runs

The plugin runs no local code, hooks or scripts. Its only component besides the skills is the remote Castmagic MCP server.
When the assistant calls a tool, it sends the tool's arguments (search words, a recording or document id, optional filters) to https://app.castmagic.io/mcp. Castmagic returns the matching transcript passages, recording details and generated content from your library. Castmagic does not receive your conversation.
The connection uses an OAuth access token you can revoke at any time from Castmagic's Connect page or the assistant's connector settings.
The skills are written instructions only. They don't fetch anything themselves.
