Windows and WSL operations triage for Hermes: processes that survive a quit, WSL-to-Windows interop failures, and the path, encoding and console traps that only show up on Windows.

hermes-windows-triage

Triage Hermes problems that only happen on Windows or under WSL — background processes that survive a quit (orphaned stdio MCP trees, lingering python/uv/node children), WSL-to-Windows interop failures where a URL or path reaches cmd.exe unquoted, config and encoding failures (UTF-8 BOM, legacy console code pages), long-path and reserved-name errors, and terminal or keystroke differences. Use when Hermes misbehaves on Windows/WSL only, when restarts accumulate background processes, or when collecting evidence for a Windows bug report.
