ubukhari/actions-eol

v0.2.0MIT

Find every GitHub Actions removal this repo's workflows will hit: retiring runner labels (macos-14, ubuntu-22.04) and their brownout dates, actions still on node20, artifact and cache versions that fail, set-output and set-env, pull_request_target's default block. Dates from GitHub's own announcements. Runs npx --allow-remote=root https://agentwares.vercel.app/dl/actions-eol-0.2.0.tgz locally; no account, no LLM calls of its own.

actions-eol

Find every GitHub Actions removal this repository's workflows will hit, inside Claude Code.

  • /actions-eol:actions-eol runs npx -y --allow-remote=root https://agentwares.vercel.app/dl/actions-eol-0.2.0.tgz on the directory you give (the current one by default), or on owner/repo, and explains each finding: the date and the brownout windows, what breaks, the file and line, and the fix. Then it proposes the change for you to approve.

What it runs, reads and sends

  • Runs one command, through the Bash tool. The skill and plugin pre-approve nothing, so Claude Code asks you before the command runs.
  • Fetches actions-eol with npx, from where that command names, the removal data from agentwares-agentcheck.vercel.app, and the public action.yml of each action your workflows use that its table does not cover, from GitHub.
  • Reads .github/workflows, the repository's own action.yml and package.json. For owner/repo it reads them through GitHub's API with your own token, or none for a public repo.
  • Sends nothing about your code to us. No account, no LLM calls of its own.

Dates come from GitHub's own announcements (runner-images, the GitHub changelog, the runner's releases), each with the day it was read.
