untitled.movie skills
Skills for developing a film in untitled.movie with an AI assistant, and the plugin package that brings them to ChatGPT together with the untitled.movie connection (https://untitled.movie/mcp).
A skill tells the assistant how one step of the work goes: which tools to use, in what order, what to ask and what to leave to the author. The rule under all of them: the assistant proposes, the author decides.
The skills
Each folder under skills/ is one skill, a SKILL.md with a name, a description and the steps.
| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
get-started | A first look: your projects, the brief of one, how working together goes. Changes nothing. |
work-session | Opens a session with your request, keeps the working agreement, closes with a summary. |
gatekeeper-questions | The few questions every later choice depends on, with options and a recommendation each. |
rough-outline | The shape of the story in sequences or acts, with its holes marked. |
character-dossier | Want, need, wound, contradiction, voice, relationships and arc of a character. |
treatment | The story in prose; a competing version when one already exists. |
tone-samples | A few pages that fix the voice, each testing a named choice. |
scene-outline | Every scene with its purpose, before the pages. |
first-draft | The screenplay from the scene outline, in Fountain, sequence by sequence. |
honest-finding | An unsparing assessment of a piece of the work, recorded as a finding. |
consistency-check | Contradictions with canon and text that still reflects superseded decisions. |
principles-check | A text against the project's principles, with a verdict and evidence for each. |
translate-stale-scenes | Brings a language version up to date with its master, following the glossary. |
storyboard-scenes | A shot list for screenplay scenes, set up as a storyboard linked to the script. |
continuity-review | A storyboard checked for continuity and script coverage, recorded as a finding. |
They follow the prompts the untitled.movie server offers itself, so an assistant that shows a server's prompts and one that loads skills work the same way.
The plugin package
plugin.json: the listing (name, texts, links, starter prompts, icons), the cases for OpenAI's review and the release notes.mcp.json: the connection tohttps://untitled.movie/mcp. You sign in with your untitled.movie account; the package holds no credentials.assets/: the icons.
bin/build # check the package and write dist/untitled-movie-<version>.zip
bin/build --check # check only
The script needs Ruby (the one macOS ships is enough) and zip. It checks the limits of OpenAI's public submission: lengths, the category, the links, the icons, five positive and three negative review cases, and each skill's front matter.
To release a change: raise version in plugin.json, run bin/build and upload the ZIP at platform.openai.com/plugins. The demo recording's address and the reviewer's sign-in are entered there, not here. Changes to the server's tools need no new ZIP; OpenAI scans the server itself.
