Accountable for ChatGPT

Accountable is AI bookkeeping for startups: books kept by AI and closed every day, for founders who run one or more companies. This plugin lets ChatGPT read and keep those books: reports, cash and runway, transactions, bills and invoices, and the month's close.

What it connects to

The plugin connects to one remote server, Accountable's own MCP server at https://accountable.im/mcp/chatgpt. It runs nothing on your computer and fetches nothing else. You sign in with your Accountable account and choose which companies ChatGPT may open, and whether it may only read. You can revoke the connection at any time in Accountable under Settings › AI and agents.

What it can do

• Read a profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow or trial balance, and explain why a number changed.
• Answer cash, burn, runway and revenue questions from the live books.
• Find transactions that need a category, categorize them, and save vendor rules.
• Read bills, invoices and who owes what, and check the close.
• Post journal entries, comment, label alerts and save planning scenarios.

Every change is previewed first and changes nothing until you confirm it. Each change is logged with your name, follows your role in that company, and can be undone. The plugin never moves money.

The skills folder holds short guides ChatGPT follows for common bookkeeping work, such as answering review questions, reading reports and undoing a change.
