Kennisbasis for your AI assistant

A small extension that gives your AI assistant a notebook of its own: the vault. At the start of every new conversation, the assistant can read back who you are, what you do and where your knowledge lives. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Mistral.

Made by Wim Wessels, based on how he works with AI every day. The full explanation is in the wiki. The skills and the vault template are in Dutch for now.

Who is it for

For individuals and freelancers: anyone who works alone and wants to capture their own knowledge. If you work in a team or an organisation, this is not the right approach.

Note: the knowledge you build with Kennisbasis is personal. Sharing it with colleagues or others is at your own risk. You probably also use your AI assistant for private matters or for work that is not meant for them, and all of it ends up in the same notebook. If you want to structure knowledge and data professionally, organise that at the level of your organisation.

Quick start with Claude

You need Claude Pro or higher and the Claude app for Mac or Windows.

  1. Click your name in the bottom left and choose Settings, then Plugins.
  2. Click Add and choose Add marketplace.
  3. Enter Rellicon/kennisbasis, click Sync and install Kennisbasis.
  4. Open Claude Code, choose a folder to work in and type /kennisbasis:kennis-intro.

Why Claude Code: there Claude can reach a folder on your computer. The ordinary chat cannot.
