rachaelquisel/generate-financial-dummy-data

v1.1.4MIT

Create test grants through a conversation. Answer a few questions about your destination and test scenario. Receive verified records or an import file.

Generate Financial Dummy Data

Start with /generate-financial-dummy-data:generate-financial-dummy-data and describe the grants you need. If your request has no details, the plugin asks three questions:

  1. Where should I put the test grants: in an application or in a file?
  2. How many grants do you need?
  3. What amounts and currency should I use?

It waits for your answers. It then asks about the remaining details your test needs. These may include organizations, dates, grant states, or file columns. It keeps the answers you already supplied.

  • You can choose an application or an import file.
  • You can provide exact amounts or rules for generating them.
  • You can reuse existing relationships or request fictional supporting records.
  • You receive record links or a file with the checks performed.

This version creates grants and required supporting records. It does not create payouts or bills. Application output requires tools and access to the selected destination. The plugin does not include credentials or connections to other services.

Read how this works for the full process.

Read two worked examples adapted from project documentation. One uses a recurring program across two funding years. The other keeps requested, recommended, and awarded amounts separate. The examples use fictional names and financial values.

The icon was created with Ghibli Icon Maker. It follows the Soft Index style. scripts/render_icon.py uses the original drawing functions. Python and Pillow are required to render the icon.
