Install

npx skills add polvallverdu/gemini-prompting-skill

Choose your agent when prompted. Add --global to use it across projects. Requires Node.js.

Try it

Ask your assistant:

Write a Veo prompt for an 8-second vertical coffee ad. Warm morning light, close-up shots, ambient sound, no dialogue.

Turn this idea into a Lyria prompt: mellow lo-fi, Rhodes piano, 82 BPM, instrumental.

You can also invoke /gemini-media-prompting in Codex and Claude Code. The skill writes prompts; use your preferred generation tool to create the media.

Start a new session and use:

/gemini-prompting-skill:gemini-media-prompting Write a Nano Banana prompt for a product photo.

Choose this or skills.sh to avoid duplicate installations.

Claude.ai / Claude Desktop

  1. Download the skill ZIP.
  2. Open Customize → Skills → + → Create skill → Upload a skill.
  3. Upload the ZIP, enable it, and start a new chat.

Enable Code execution and file creation if prompted. Claude's upload guide.

ChatGPT

On the web: download and extract the chat files. Upload the six Markdown files to a Project and add these Project instructions:

Follow SKILL.md when helping me write Gemini prompts. References to references/ refer to the matching attached files. Read only the relevant model guides. Return the prompt in a code block and list settings separately.

Local ChatGPT Work / Codex: with a current Codex CLI, add the marketplace:

codex plugin marketplace add polvallverdu/gemini-prompting-skill

Restart the ChatGPT desktop app, open Plugins → Gemini Prompting, and install the plugin. Select it with @ in a supported local chat.

Local plugins depend on your app and workspace settings. The Project option uses reference files rather than a native skill installation. Local plugin setup.
