LixRay Agent Plugin

LixRay is a hosted service for Lix repositories: version control for Markdown, CSV, JSON, images, and the rest of your company's files.

This public package connects supported agents to the hosted LixRay MCP server and gives them a fast onboarding workflow. The LixRay application and MCP implementation are not included in this repository.

Included skill

  • onboarding: infer the user's use case from available context and create a useful first repository state with no more than three files.

All clients connect to the same production Streamable HTTP endpoint:

https://lixray.com/mcp

Authentication is handled through the MCP client's OAuth flow. Never put a LixRay access token in this repository or in an MCP manifest.

Install

Gemini CLI

gemini extensions install https://github.com/opral/lixray-agent-plugin

Cursor

Install LixRay from the Cursor Marketplace after approval, or load this repository as an Agent Plugin during development.

Claude

Install LixRay from Claude's plugin directory after approval. The existing LixRay connector and this plugin use the same hosted MCP endpoint.

ChatGPT and Codex

Install LixRay from the OpenAI Plugins Directory after approval. The public submission combines the hosted MCP server with the skills in this repository.

Any Streamable HTTP MCP client

Configure the client directly with https://lixray.com/mcp. Direct MCP users receive the tools and server instructions; plugin users additionally receive the bundled workflow skills.

Package formats

This repository intentionally contains several small manifests around one shared skills/ directory:

  • plugin.json and mcp.json: Agent Plugins 1.0 for Cursor and compatible clients.
  • .claude-plugin/plugin.json and .mcp.json: Claude plugin packaging.
  • .codex-plugin/plugin.json: Codex/OpenAI local plugin packaging.
  • gemini-extension.json and GEMINI.md: Gemini CLI extension packaging.

Development

Validate the package without installing dependencies:

node scripts/validate.mjs

Test it locally in Gemini CLI:

gemini extensions link .
gemini extensions validate .

Tagged releases produce a portable zip. Marketplace review and publication are performed separately by each platform.

Security

The manifests contain no secrets and point only to https://lixray.com/mcp. See SECURITY.md to report a vulnerability.

License

MIT. This license covers the public plugin package in this repository, not the separately hosted LixRay service implementation.
