Contribute
Pass private inputs through arguments, context, settings, or authenticated tools. Keep credentials and permissions in the agent's environment. The infrastructure owner manages service deployments.
Put each skill's SKILL.md and supporting files in skills/<name>/. Preserve
useful source instructions and upstream attribution. Explain material changes
in the pull request.
Validation
Use Python 3.11 or later in a virtual environment:
python -m pip install -r requirements-dev.txt
skills-ref validate skills/skill-writing
Check local Markdown links with Lychee:
lychee --offline --no-progress './**/*.md'
GitHub Actions checks skill format, JSON syntax, and local Markdown links on
pull requests and pushes to main. Review external URLs and test skill behavior
separately.
