Experimental Codex package, not yet installed and run on a real Codex. Two reasoning tools, feel and drugs, a record tool for decision records, and four skills: feel, drugs, synthesis and counterfactual. The tools run through an MCP server that needs Node 22 or later on PATH.
Required before answering a go/no-go, approval, or migration or implementation-plan request for a consequential change (dependency swap, removal, adoption, merge), because such cases often rest on a claim the input only asserts, a result from a non-representative environment, a newly surfaced fact, or a hard constraint the preferred option may violate. Not for mechanical edits, renames, wording changes, or bug fixes whose expected result is given.
Use when the approach itself needs to change. Examples are requested creative or design exploration stalling on the same few alternatives, or materially different attempts failing the same way so that another attempt would repeat the last one. Session length alone is not a reason.
Use when a tension is unresolved and you cannot name it, before you choose the next move. Examples are the same failure persisting after materially different attempts, conflicting constraints blocking a commitment, or being about to repeat a hypothesis you already exhausted. Session length alone is not a reason.
Required before answering a request to decide, approve, or choose between options when several analyses, reviews, votes, debaters, or proposals disagree or converge, because their agreement often rests on one shared source, premise, or constraint nobody checked, and a minority may cite evidence the majority lacks. Not for single-source questions, mechanical edits, wording changes, or routine fixes.
