ELab Xero MCP plugin

Connect Cursor, Claude, and other MCP clients to ELab’s hosted Xero MCP. The Railway server, Xero tokens, and billing stay on ELab’s side.

This package points at one URL for every customer:

https://api.xero.elab.co.nz/mcp

There is no workspace slug and no API key in this repo. After you sign in, the server uses your ELab Xero membership.

What you need

  1. An ELab Xero workspace at app.xero.elab.co.nz (subscribe, claim the workspace, connect Xero organisations).
  2. The same email in the MCP OAuth sign-in as in the portal.
  3. If you install first and have no workspace yet, tools will tell you to finish setup at the portal, then reconnect. You will not see Xero data until that is done.

Existing customers who already use a portal-copied URL (/workspaces/<slug>/mcp) can keep that URL. This plugin does not replace it.

Install in Cursor

  1. Add this plugin from the GitHub repo, or add a Streamable HTTP MCP server with URL https://api.xero.elab.co.nz/mcp.
  2. Complete browser sign-in.
  3. Enable the server in the Agent / MCP panel.

Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add ELab-AI-Tech/xero-mcp-plugin
/plugin install elab-xero@ELab-AI-Tech

Then /mcp and sign in.

Releases

Pushes to main validate the package and publish xero-mcp-plugin.zip as a GitHub Release. That zip is a download artifact. Official catalog listing (Cursor Marketplace, Claude, ChatGPT) is a separate review after you submit the repo.
