Local-first Personal AI / Life OS, vault, communication, review, family, and task workflows

dad-daily-update

Use this skill whenever the user wants to write, compose, or send a daily update or message to their dad (or parent/family member). Triggers include phrases like "daily update for my dad", "write my dad message", "dad reflection", "daily check-in for dad", "dad update", or any request to compose a structured daily reflection/accountability message for a parent or family member. Also trigger if the user says something like "help me do my daily thing" or "let's do the dad message". This skill walks through an interactive Q&A to collect inputs, then generates a short, honest, reflective daily message with a quote, focus, something to look forward to, gratitude, and a life update.

life-os-capture

Route Aren's natural-language personal capture into TickTick, Obsidian, a commitment record, a decision note, or a calendar proposal while preserving the original wording and preventing duplicates. Use for "remember this", "capture this", "task: ...", "I promised ...", "journal this", or "save this decision". Do not use for bulk inbox processing or a full daily review.

life-os-chief-of-staff

Act as Aren's proactive personal chief of staff across TickTick, Gmail, iMessage, Obsidian, meetings, commitments, decisions, relationships, and read-only health context, selecting the narrow Life OS workflows needed and surfacing upcoming risks and open loops. Use for "what am I missing", "chief of staff review", "look across everything", "what needs my attention", or a broad proactive Life OS scan. Do not bypass the narrower skills' evidence, privacy, or confirmation rules.

life-os-communications

Review Aren's Gmail and iMessage for urgent items, unanswered questions, promises, waiting-on threads, and relationship follow-ups; record evidence-linked commitments and draft replies in Aren's voice. Use for "check who I owe a reply", "review my messages", "communications follow-up", "draft my replies", or the scheduled communications scan. Do not send anything without explicit confirmation for that exact recipient and draft.

life-os-daily-plan

Build Aren's concise morning brief and day plan from TickTick tasks/calendar, open commitments, Gmail and iMessage follow-ups, Obsidian goals/context, and available read-only health trends. Use for "plan my day", "morning brief", "what deserves attention today", or the scheduled morning run. Do not use for reviewing how the day went.

life-os-day-review

Review Aren's completed and unfinished day, capture wins and decisions, resolve or carry open commitments, and prepare tomorrow from TickTick, communications, Obsidian, and available health context. Use for "review my day", "prepare tomorrow", "evening review", or the scheduled evening run. Do not use for creating the morning plan before the day begins.

life-os-decision

Capture, examine, and later revisit a meaningful personal decision with options, rationale, tradeoffs, expected outcome, source evidence, and a review trigger. Use for "log this decision", "help me decide", "decision journal", or "was that decision right". Do not use for trivial preferences or pretend hindsight proves a choice was wrong.

life-os-health-review

Review Aren's read-only Oura and Apple Health trends alongside his stated energy and workload, then suggest planning adjustments without diagnosing or changing health data. Use for "health review", "how has my sleep or readiness been", "factor recovery into my week", or the health section of a weekly/monthly review. Do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency guidance from device data.

life-os-journal

Guide Aren through a short, natural personal reflection and write one dated journal note to Obsidian, extracting only real tasks, commitments, decisions, and memories from his answers. Use for "journal with me", "daily reflection", "write today's journal", or "I need to get this out of my head". Do not invent a journal entry from passive data or use this for a message to a family member.

life-os-meeting

Prepare Aren for a meeting from prior communication, people/project context, notes, tasks, commitments, and decisions, or debrief a completed meeting into decisions and routed follow-ups. Use for "prep me for my meeting", "meeting brief", "debrief this meeting", or "turn these meeting notes into actions". Do not use for a general daily plan without a specific meeting.

life-os-relationship-review

Surface important personal relationships that may need attention using explicit commitments, recent communication patterns, meaningful dates, and Aren's stated priorities, then suggest or draft considerate follow-ups. Use for "who should I follow up with", "relationship review", "who have I gone quiet with", or the relationship section of a weekly review. Do not equate message frequency with relationship quality or contact anyone automatically.

life-os-setup

Set up, diagnose, or repair Aren's local-first Personal AI / Life OS, including its ledger, policy, voice artifacts, TickTick, Gmail, iMessage, Obsidian, Oura, Apple Health export, Tailscale, and schedules. Use when Aren says "set up my Life OS", "finish the Life OS", "Life OS doctor", or asks why a Life OS connector is unavailable. Do not use for an ordinary daily or weekly review.

life-os-strategic-review

Run Aren's monthly or quarterly Life OS review across goals, projects, decisions, time allocation, health, relationships, work, and learning; identify repeated mismatches and set priorities for the next period. Use for "monthly review", "quarterly review", "review my goals", or "what patterns are emerging". Do not use for a daily or weekly operational recap.

life-os-voice

Build or refine Aren's bounded voice profile from representative sent Gmail/iMessage samples and his corrections to drafts, with separate text, personal-email, professional-email, acknowledgement, sensitive-message, and recipient-specific modes. Use for "learn my writing style", "update my voice profile", "make drafts sound more like me", or after Aren substantially edits a Life OS draft. Do not copy entire conversations or silently change sensitive tone rules.

life-os-weekly-review

Reconstruct Aren's week from TickTick, commitments, Gmail/iMessage follow-ups, Obsidian notes and goals, decisions, relationships, and available health trends; challenge stale work and write the canonical weekly review to Obsidian. Use for "weekly review", "review my week", "plan next week", or the scheduled Sunday review. Do not use for a single-day recap.

obsidian-vault

Safely read, search, create, update, organize, and commit notes in Arend's Obsidian vault. Uses direct filesystem and Git access when available and a remote Obsidian connector when filesystem access is unavailable. Use when working with Obsidian, vault folders, Markdown notes, wikilinks, tags, frontmatter, note templates, vault taxonomy, PUMPD idea capture/intake/organization, PUMPD/Harstem/Personal/Work notes, or vault Git hygiene.

personal-task

Create a personal PUMPD task in Linear, assigned to Aren and labeled personal. Linear is the task source of truth; create an Obsidian plan only when the user explicitly wants durable reasoning beyond the issue description. Use for personal to-dos or hands-on work, not AI-delegated work or full feature decomposition.

personal-task-done

Mark a personal PUMPD task complete in Linear. Linear owns task state. If the issue has a linked Obsidian plan and the work shipped, archive that plan without creating a Completed task mirror.
