v0.3.4MIT

Housing dashboards, refreshes and briefs for any U.S. city or county (a state works too, with fewer comparisons) from Census ACS, BLS and HUD open data: demand and tenure, construction costs and labor, and federally assisted housing, compared with the surrounding region, state and nation.

build-housing-dashboard

Builds an interactive housing dashboard for any U.S. city or county (a state works too, with fewer comparisons) from federal open data: ACS demand and tenure, BLS construction costs, jobs and wages, and HUD assisted housing (Section 8, 202/811, public housing, vouchers, LIHTC), compared with surrounding jurisdictions, the state and the nation. Use when someone asks for a housing dashboard, housing needs snapshot, housing market profile or affordable-housing overview for a city or county, for example a housing dashboard for Fort Wayne or a housing profile for Marion County.

Compatibility
U.S. cities and counties; a state works with fewer comparisons. It reads federal Census, BLS and HUD data. Uses the bundled MCP servers, or direct access to api.census.gov, api.bls.gov, www.bls.gov and services.arcgis.com through the fallback scripts. The fallback scripts need your own credentials: a contact email for BLS (BLS_CONTACT_EMAIL), and API keys (BLS_API_KEY, CENSUS_API_KEY) for anything beyond light use. The plugin ships none. Python 3.9+; Node 18+ for the map.
